Evaluation

burger unit 

What workout well?
we did experimented our burger
we put cashews instead of cheese however it didn't taste very well

what needed changing?
the whole burger

where was the flavor coming from?
the cashew nut patties and the sweet chili sauce

what offered texture?
lettuce
toast brioche buns

PP Passion project


community projects

On the second week of our passion projects we had to make changes to our first plan in-order to reach the end of our project.our project is to feed the homeless people. we are selling raffle tickets for $2 to collect money. our aim is to collect $360.

what have I done so far?
we have created the raffle tickets and I am going to create a draft email or script.

how does the it help the passion project?
this is going to help me reach my goal of getting maybe $360 to donate Christchurch city mission  

the homelessness and poverty is becoming a major problem in New Zealand

PP passion projects

introduction 
The first week of our passion project has been very exciting. we have been brain storming our ideas on how we can help our community. we shared our ideas with other groups.on Monday period three we choose our groups. My group is doing a project on helping the homeless people by providing food.

we are learning about helping our community in different ways, by helping the homeless,the animals and fund rising.

what makes a home earthquake proof?


Aim- to make a earthquake proof home. 

Research- One way to to make a house more resistant to earthquakes is to tie the walls, floor, roof, and foundations into a rigid box that holds together when shaken by a quake.

Equipment -

                     4 pieces of paper 
                     4 cotton buds 
                     6 thin sticks 
                     3 small+ 1 large cork
                     2 foam cups 
                     scissors+tape 

Result-
                   was it the tallest?
                   did it look the best?
                   was it earth quake proof

was it successful? why/why not ?

  • No, because it was small and slippery 
what do architects do to make a super tall buildings safe?

  • right environmental conditions
  • safety considerations, not just engineering capability.
  • to ensure the design is safe and meets all appropriate building codes

chicken curry

EMILY AND WARDAH's CHICKEN CURRY


INGREDIENTS  

canned tomatoes- 1 can 
red onion- 1/2 
garlic- 2 cloves 
ginger- 1/2 T
cream- 1/4 cup 
turmeric- 1/4 tsp
mixed spices- 1/4 tsp 
oil- 2 T
rice- 1-1/2 cup 
bone less chicken- 100g 

METHOD 

1.Put the pan on the stove on a low heat.
2.Pour in oil and wait for it to warm up.
3.When it's warm cook the onion until golden brown.
4.Add garlic, ginger, turmeric and mixed spice and mix together.
5.Add the chicken and stir for 5 minutes.
6.Add in tomatoes and stir for 5 minutes.
7.Put in cream and water and wait for it to boil. When it starts boiling it's ready to eat.
